I am passionate about working with students of all ages and levels adapting my style to match the goals and personalities of each student. While I believe in developing a solid technical foundation from the start, I also focus on developing a student's musical expression. I teach students age five through adult molding my approach to grow with the individual. As children grow, their interests evolve and their personalities change. As a teacher I continually evaluate how I need to focus my approach to allow for my students' development in order to keep them enthusiastic about music and piano.
While I love seeing the joy on a young child's face as they embark on their musical journey, I also enjoy engaging with older students as they work to find their own understanding of advanced material and their musical voice at the instrument. For those students who plan to study music in college or pursue graduate music studies, I work to formulate a course of study which includes music analysis, audition skills, and program selection.
Currently, I am accepting new students at my home studio in Redmond Ridge, WA. For more information about lessons including availability, policies, and rates please write me via the contact page.
